HR Training

CSD Pool members can choose from a variety of training courses through our partners at CPS HR Consulting, a client-centered HR and management consulting firm, specializing in solving the unique challenges faced by government agencies. CPS HR Consulting is a self-supported public agency that understands the issues facing the public sector and have served as a trusted advisor for over 30 years.
Members can choose one of the following training options, free of charge, annually.*
*HR Training is an additional option to HR Consulting services through our partnership with CPS HR Consulting. Members may choose one option annually (HR Consulting, HR Training, or AIM Membership).

Training Package
Key components of the training package option include:
- Audience of up to 30 participants
- Off-the-shelf or semi-custom courses available
- 1-2 hours, dependent on course selection
- Virtual or in-person delivery when local trainer is available
Virtual training courses include topics such as Conflict Deescalation, Building Trusting Relationships, Closing the Performance Gap, Communication Competence, and more.
AIM 1 Year Membership
Action in Minutes (AIM) is a self-paced training subscription built for public sector supervisors who are short on time but big on responsibility. Key components include:
- Virtual eLearning delivered in short, self-paced video format
- Training designed for supervisor level staff
- 1 year membership with access to 24+ courses
The first series subscription offers 12 courses that cover core competencies for supervisory success that include communication, feedback, and team leadership. The member benefit allows up to six leaders to participate in this training at no cost.

Once you have decided which service fits your needs, complete the request form linked at the top of this page. A representative will review it and get back to you, and your training can begin!
